Made popular by the Gracie family, Brazilian jujitsu, or BJJ for short, has risen in popularity as one of the essential pillars of the MMA game. BJJ is characterized by its use of armbars, triangle chokes, heel holds and advanced positioning on the ground.  In addition grapplers learn to takedown and control opponents with Greco-Roman style wrestling techniques, and master the art of sweeps and throws borrowed from Judo.

Warrior Fighting Sports & Fitness offers non-Gi Brazilian Ju-Jitsu classes. You learn the precise and exacting Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques that underlie every move you execute.  Your Coach puts the emphasis on the sport as "the gentle art," one that relies on expertly executed moves and not sheer force. You learn to start and follow through on every move safely and with the precise amount of force that will bring an opponent down before he knows what has hit him. You are also taught to recognize and honor the “tap out” submission signal so that neither you nor your opponents are ever in danger.

In our submission grappling workouts, you get training in the sudden takedown, locks, chokes and immobilization techniques that are designed to disarm your opponent quickly and safely. You also learn about the philosophy behind the art of Jiu Jitsu and how that philosophy can motivate you and help you develop self-confidence and techniques to concentrate and focus your energy. Every training session helps build the groundwork for competition or fun.
